My son went to Oaxaca, Mexico with Amigos last summer. One of the best experiences of his life, and he is going to do it again this summer. Before he went, he received 7 months of comprehensive training to prepare. I highly recommend this well run organization.

Did he have any problems with gastrointestinal distress?

No, fortunately he did not - and I was surprised because it is a possiblity, and it does happen. Amigos gives very good training to the voluneers in water purification, and I did send him with acidopholus tablets (a probiotic).
