PUSD Board of Trustees meeting 9/22 7 pm
Schools & Kids, posted by Dark Corners of Town, a resident of the Country Fair neighborhood, on Sep 20, 2009 at 8:52 pm

The next Board meeting is this Tuesday. Note the entire 08-09 unaudited financials are in the posted materials.

See agenda items 14.4 and 14.5 where PUSD is borrowing from funds to pay expenses. Regarding 14.5, didn't PUSD get a loan from the City last spring to help pay the COP annual debt payments? Now they need to borrow another $1.1M for this year?

I seem to recall that after the failed Measure G effort Trustee Hintzke committed to educate the voters. It's been awfully quiet so far this year. With PUSD borrowing money from itself to cover expenses, maybe education and community outreach might not help their cause?

So true, so true, so true.

Get used to the financial jugglin act. It will be the norm moving forward.
