O'Malley will be Alameda County's first woman district attorney

Nancy O'Malley will become Alameda County's first woman district attorney on Friday after the Board of Supervisors voted at a lengthy and contentious hearing Tuesday to appoint her to fill the rest of the term of current top prosecutor Tom Orloff.

Nancy O'Malley is an excellent choice and a deserving choice. She is well qualified , has the record of public service and aggressive prosecution that the office requires. I only wish I lived in Alameda County so I could vote for her in June--I guess I will just have to be satisfied to vote for her brother in his race to be the Contra Costa DA!
