I think all of the editions that were mailed out were printed with the wrong date. I'd be very embarrassed if I was the editor and was wondering the same thing about proofreading.

that's nothing. news reporting in general is terrible. it's more like gossip around the water cooler. hard to think of it as being left or right - it's just plain dumb. the news in the morning is the worst. the people reading the news throw in their own comments on a regular basis. they even stike up a conversation among themselves right in the middle of the news as if its part of the story. i really don't know what to make of it so i rarely watch except when someone has turn on the set.

i wonder if it's the way it is because of how they view the average person?

As a person who lost friends, co-workers and family members on 9/11 of the year ***** 2001 ***** I find it reprehensible that Jeb and Gina are so incompetent that this error was made.

They have both done stupid and irresponsible things in this past year but this one was a huge slap in the face to those of us who will grieve for the rest of our lives on this day.

Jeb and Gina -- get a proof reader. Better yet get another job.

Lighten up, mistakes happen.

Yeah, mistakes happen, but come on! How do you botch something like that - and on multiple pages (including the COVER)? I don't know if I agree it was reprehensible, but certainly idiotic and embarrassing! I'd definitely step up the proof reading. It's sort of amazing that no one caught it before it went out to the printers.

The Pleasanton Weekly is less professional than a high school paper. The type-os and misspellings are all over the place. This is just another one for the list. I and others have complained, sighted examples and offered remedies. A former English teacher offered her services for free according to a post of hers and was turned down.

PW does a great job and please keep it up.

Come on! How can you expect the Weekly to Edit the parper when all hands on deck are focused on deleting topics and posts within topics on the almighty forum.

Perhaps we should look to the Good Doctor for more accuracy in news reporting?

Thoughts?

Now don't delete this! Nothing vulgar, no personal attacks and only used ONE username here.

Although I would assume that by tomorrow a few of the above posts will be GONE!
