What cause the loud boom in or near Val Vista?
Around Town, posted by bel, a resident of the Val Vista neighborhood, on Aug 28, 2009 at 9:58 am

Does anyone know what happened to cause that loud boom a few minute ago somewhere in or near Val Vista? It sounded like it had some force with it, it was loud enough several neigbors came out to see whats going on.

Thanks,

bel

I heard it all the way over on the east side of Pleasanton. I have no idea what it was.

I heard it too. In my house it sounded like someone dropped a basketball on the roof. I then heard rumor it was an earthquake but didn't see anything listed on the Internet sites. Could it have been a sonic boom? That's the only other thing I could think of.

I am in Parkside and heard it. It was really loud.

Someone must know what this was!

I heard it too, over by Lydiksen. It reminded me of a sonic boom when I heard one long ago. I too would love to know what it was.
