Unlike the Tea Party movement, which is a real grassroots bipartisan effort (admittedly, more conservatives than other), it requires real "community organizers" to flood the townhalls with thug opposition groups.
Obama's "Hope and Change" is more like "Divide and Conquer" America

I don't know much about this stuff but I was invited to one of these tea bag things. People kept saying I'll see you there and I have a tea bag for you. Do people give each other tea bags at these things? What is the point of that?
Nobody (sensible) actually believes the Tea Party movements are purely grassroots. And the whole "slamming community organizers" thing is getting REALLY old. Unbiased research before presentation of forum topics would be most useful.

Why is it that demanding accountability and responsibility from our government is "partisan"? From what I've seen and heard from the people I talk to day to day, they're fed up with Republicans and Democrats. This movement has been simmering for years and has boiled over at this point in time at the end of Bush-era spending spree and the beginning of the Obama-era spending spree. Future generations will be paying the price of this irresponsibility and vote-buying by members of Congress. Stop defending corruption and incompetence because the leadership has the same party affiliation that you do.

Oh yeah & of course someone like George Soros who has funded such "grassroots" blatantly liberal (borderline fascist) groups like the Open Society Institute, The Democracy Alliance, Move on & my favorite, Media Matters are strictly there because of a desire by the people to express their views & ideology? Gimmee a break!
Stay Cool, you need to pull your head out of your rear just long enough to stick it back in the sand.

Public employee unions are going to kill the golden goose as they drive governments into bankruptcy and/or leave no options beyond lay-offs and furloughs. Check out the attached link to see what many of these "public servants" make. Many of the employees' wages are well above comparable jobs in both the private sector and the Federal government.
There are even wide discrepancies among local agencies for similar jobs. For example look at what BART employees make then compare those wages to comparbale positions with the City of Pleasanton. I guess that's why it costs $21.10 for a round-trip ticket between Pleasanton and SFO.
