Original post made by amateur astronomer, Vintage Hills Elementary School, on Aug 11, 2009

The Perseid meteor shower should be near the peak tonight. Does anyone know a good place from which to watch them?

The best time is between 9-11pm, as far away from city lights as possible. Do not go unaccompanied. It's a spectular display of solar power!
