Search the PW archives for: 'trailer in driveway' and you get...

Looks like the PW releases the names of posters.. and deletes the posts it doesn't like.

Townsquare Forum?? I think not! It looks like the McNerney website and the PW website have the same webmaster!

unclehomer,

Before you get too upset, did you happen to notice on the thread originated by Paulette about keeping a trailer in the driveway that she had requested her thread be removed? She had been attacked by several posters talking about "white trash". Not the kind of civil discussion I think she was looking for on the issue, but definitely falling right in with where lots of posters on this forum have leaned in the past several months.

Can't say that I blame her. . .

I did see that, Billie.. which is why I noticed the topic missing and went searching.

Wouldn't it have been more appropriate for the PW to delete the 'attacking' posts rather than removing the thread?? I think so....

Maybe, but then again, with a direct request from the originator . . . Paulette started the thread, and I think it's her right to ask that it be removed.

Hey, you're not shy about starting threads, unclehomerr, so if it's a subject you wanted to have more input on - go for it! :0)

I was in on that thread and also wondered what happened to it. Saying that you think boats, RVs, trailers, etc. littered around your street looks like "white trash" is hardly a personal "attack". It was an opinion - a solicited one I might add!

Billie, apparently she wasn't looking for "civil discussion", but simply "agreement" (which she did not receive 100%).

..and, by removing the whole thread, they removed posts of others who didn't request it. Strange.

UH- You know as well as I do that a poster claimed that a PW employee outed her/his name. That's why they wanted it removed.

That's the post the trailer person put up later according to you.

Do you also have a small trailer in your front yard??

unclehomerr..

[ps. congratulations on the new computer. You sure learned it up fast!]
