Why are liberals and progressives...
State, National, International, posted by Why?, a resident of the Another Pleasanton neighborhood neighborhood, on Aug 4, 2009 at 4:38 pm

So willing to be lied to, so willing to give up their own personal freedom, so willing to let others work on their behalf...etc?

If you are going to go through the trouble of actually posting a new topic, please make an effort to have it make sense.

Thanks,

Fellow Pleasantonian

FP,

You mean like this?

Hmmm...funny how I didn't see your posting the same request with these posters...

I thought I was the only one that wondered that! Wow, it's really my impression also.

It just seems like they sit their with Stockholm syndrome and open shackels and yet they don't leave.

I can't explain it either. I hope we get some good insights and that everyone will be open to listening.

It's such a conundrum to define.

All of the posts you presented links to offered details supporting their posters' points. Your post is a rhetorical questions with no discussion, supporting arguments, or debate. It can't be characterized as anything other than a one-liner; an attempt to insult progressives and liberals through the use of ridiculous generalizations.

That is why I commented on yours, and not on the posts you referenced.

Um, I didn't realize there were such "standards" for new topic threads as Fellow Pleasantonian has determined. Free speech only if it a thesis statement. I see - I guess that will reduce the PWTF to fewer posts.

This is what Fellow was looking for as an exemplar thread.

There is no requirement to make a coherent point to start a new thread. Thanks for the demonstration of free speech, not terribly useful, but free.

Why = A Mental!

Cholo,

I thought I would respond to your comment with a similar lexical quality:

I'm rubber, you're glue - whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you!

You are right. Please continue to make incoherent points to support your point of view.

Have you read some of the things they have written? Certainly lack of a quality education has to play a part in their ideals.

Why?

Just get your pilots license? That was quite a crash and burn discussion!

I'm taking a political science class online and I wanted to see what would happened if I stirred the pot a little.

Wow - people take everything so personal in this town. I guess that is what the "P" in P-Town must stand for.

I have some good thoughts to write my paper now...

It served my purposes.

"Why" - stay in school, you obviously have a lot more to learn. You didn't start off with quality comments and so you got crap answers to your "pot stirring". If you can write a paper based on this thread you must be attending "Bozo's Online Political Science" class!

Could you explain that post?
