I suggest we fill his athletic cup with raw hamburger and have him run from the dogs he brutalized...If he can make it to safety, then we can discuss letting him play again. If not, then he has saved the taxpayers having to house him after his next felony.

The NFL needs to start making examples of the men who are giving the whole league a bad rep- Do they want to be considered a collection of thugs and criminals? Or highly skilled athletes and positive members of the community? I would think other players would resent a man who has sullied all of their reputations in the public eye, and that they would protest his returning

Doug- I need to remember not to ask you to pet sit. There are some of us who view our pets as a member of the family. We would just as soon injure our dear old grandmother as injure that creature who greets us every evening when we arrive home, with such unbridled joy

Comparing anything a member of the Kennedy family does with something a human does is unfair- All you need to do is look at Ted to know he isn't human. If he were, his liver would have failed years ago! LOL

Ted should have been on death row long ago, don't worry he is close now. Money paid for his freedom. For the dogs they don't have that same freedom. Sorry if I don't see you in the crosswalk because you think your better than everybody else and your heads in the clouds.

A dog is not a human being and as such its life should not be valued at the same level. People murder human beings and get less time than Vick got. How about Ray lewis a few years back and those two guys who were stabbed to death but no one was ever convicted. How about all of the poor babies butchered every single day. When there is justice for human beings and the innocent then come tell me about a dog.

Doug- I was not saying EITHER form of abuse was okay. I was not on the jury for any of the cases, but trust me, I would have not taken a human life being lost lightly.

I believe that what Vick did was unecessarily cruel, and I don't think he deserves a second chance. He was only on trial for what he did to the dogs in his possession, that doesn't mean that was all he was guilty of.

I should add that I don't believe the people you mentioned deserved a second chance either. I can take solace in the fact that I didn't elect Ted Kennedy- he doesn't represent me

this is ridiculus! he served almost two years in jail for killing dogs while donte stallworth only has to serve 30 days for killing a PERSON!

does society now value the lives of animals over the lives of people??

I am a huge fan of football, and I do not want to see it become a collection of the dregs of society. This post was not asking about if Stallworth (or any other of the assorted criminals served enough time-we all know they didn't) The question asked was if members thought Vick should play again. I, for one, would rather never see the man in a uniform again. If you are willing to abuse an animal, how much of a stretch is it to injure any other living thing? He has displayed a lack of regard for living things and should not be given the comfortable lifestyle he enjoyed as an active player. He can wash dishes somewhere, and some other decent human being can have his spot on a roster somewhere

he has served his time just like anyone else convicted and deserves to make a living just like anyone else and his trade is a football player and that is what he should be allowed to do and immediately.
