"The reforms we seek would bring greater competition, choice, savings and inefficiencies to our health care system," Obama said in remarks after a health care roundtable with physicians, nurses and health care providers. "And greater stability and security to America's families and businesses." The White House quickly recognized the mistake and inserted a "sic" in the remarks sent to reporters on Monday afternoon. Josh Earnest, a White House deputy press secretary, said Obama "misspoke" in his remarks. "Everyone knew exactly what he was saying," Earnest said.

Yes, we do know exactly what he is saying. "Inefficiencies" would be increased with this administration's proposed health care reform; as would taxes and access to quality care for our aging population. Don't allow our government to push this costly plan on us in just two weeks. If we are to spend this much money, doesn't the plan deserve more scrutiny and debate than can be had in just two weeks? Even the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), the congress' budget watchdog, has determined that the proposed legislation would drive UP government spending and keep costs RISING at an UNSUSTAINABLE rate. Write, email, or call your representatives and demand more time to debate this proposal.
