Original post made by Mike, Another Pleasanton neighborhood, on Jul 15, 2009

A new ‘innovative’ way of laying people off. A bad joke?! Judge for yourself.

One of the rules of a lay off. Try to keep those layed off from gathering in large groups together when angry on company premises. I have a feeling wouldn't take long for someone to say, "They want a fire they got one!"

I’ve been on both sides of the lay-off issue.

Can’t say this actually happened, but know these things are discussed.

With 5,000 employees I have to imagine the legal department advised against it.

I doubt it would have been as elaborate.

The shuttle busses simply wouldn’t have arrived for that shift.

Stateside would have been half believable.

Have you ever been to Singapore Been There for real? I have and you seem to be lumping it in with places like mainland China. My Uncle and Aunt live there so we visit often. Amazing place.

Don't miss out on the discussion!
