East Angela Street fire Crimes & Incidents, posted by olfthfl, a resident of the Pleasanton Meadows neighborhood, on Jul 10, 2009 at 8:43 am
It's been almost 7 months since this fire made headlines for several weeks. There were all sorts of suspicious circumstannces surrounding it and it was eventually determined to be arson. Have I missed something or is there still an "ongoing investigation" being conducted by our crack detective unit?

It seems that our local District Attorney and local authorities don't have the backbone to charge someone that is disfigured. They seem to forget about the innocent people that have suffered in this tragedy. How about the husband the kids,it would be nice for them to have some closure.

You are correct, it's been seven months, but no news from police on any arrests. They continue to investigate and we are continuing to check up on it.

I heard from a nieghbor to the burnt house that "ownership" of the house is being disputed and will go to court. Maybe the insurance company could just write the owners an IOU....They also said that we may never know who was involved. Very hard to prove.

The police and the district attorney know who is involved in the case. There was only one person home at the time of the arson fire and that was Deonna Zuffa. I heard she was in court for the divorce last Friday, and was playing the poor me. How about here poor kids and husband that she ruined the lifes of or all the innocent people she hurt. Yes that includes the people that lived next to them and had damage to there homes. I know first hand that Mr. Zuffa and the boys are trying to get this difficult time behind them, and they are all three doing great. I think there alot of people that are owed a explanation and apology from Deonna Zuffa, but she doesn't have the nerve to do that.

PW is ANYTHING going to ever be officially closed on this??? As we close in on a year since this tragic event we as community have yet to really understand what happened, what's going to happen and was this truly arson? If so, are there consequences to be paid, is there still an investigation? How long can community members be left in the dark? Is there some sort of "cover up" going on, is there any reason that the public should not know where things stand? An update, or follow up story to this would be appreciated......AUTHORITIES, an updated statement would be great!

I find it hard to believe that ten months have gone bye and there are still no charges filed or anyone under arrest. Hey PW is there any investigating tips you can give the police, it seems they might need a little help. I guess in sleeply little Pleasanton there is no justice.
