Young Paris Jackson at memorial "best father ever"

Original post made by Debbie on Jul 7, 2009

Paris Jackson takes the stage at the end and says her daddy was the "best father ever"...

As the star-studded tribute to the King of Pop concluded, Michael Jackson's own children, Prince Michael, 12, Paris Katherine, 11, and Prince Michael II (Blanket), 7, took the stage during a group performance of "Heal the World."

After the song, Paris gave an impromptu speech from the stage surrounded by the Jackson family.

"I just want to say ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you can ever imagine," she said through tears. "And I just want to say I love him so much."

Her aunt Janet Jackson then took her into her arms for a hug before the entire Jackson family then left the stage, closing the service that lasted more than two hours.

He paid a family over $20,000,000 in the 1990's to hush up.

He was very troubled.

He will meet his maker who will judge him.

I don't believe MJ ever commited a crime against children in his entire life. I think MJ prefered the company of children because he related better socially with them - simple. Michael lived in a world of adults, grew up too fast and wanted to recapture his youth. I think children offered him a way to know someone without them wanting something from you.

I'll never believe this man was ever capable of harming a child.

Now, I will believe a greedy parent used their child to gain access to Michael's bank accounts was possible.

Michael Jackson was a child in his heart. He lived in a fantasy world for all of his life and never knew what it was like to live in the real world. That is not his fault - that belongs to his parents.

Call him strange, call him weird, fine, but most entertainers are "eccentric" - nothing is new there.

Michael Jackson wanted to be Peter Pan and to never grow up. He surrounded himself with children for that reason alone.

I believe you MJ and I know you are with the angels now.

I will pray for your children, whom you loved more than anything in this world.

We will miss you. God love you.

Here is the link to the video of Paris Jackson at the memorial:

Web Link

Boy is this SAD! I could go on for hours about this, but here a few of my thoughts. First off, being raised in the 80's I was a big fan of Jackson growing up. We all know he became strange and had his issues over the years. He life was actually quite tragic in my opinion.

As for the kids:

First off the older two are light skinned and blonde hair, so they certainly do the fake bake, and have their hair constantly dyed. They will NEVER feel "good enough" just like Michael. They have grown up with a drug addicted dad and that's a tragedy in itself.
They are used to very expensive and lavish toy's, cloths and lifestyle and that's a shame.

They, like Michael, NEVER have had a normal life and NEVER will, and that is TRUELY dad!

As for young Paris's brief appearance at the memorial:

Look and listen closely. The press was so emotional about her speaking but.....

She looked beyond terrified and awkward. She did NOT look like she wanted to be speaking! She was FLANKED by relatives, adjusting the microphone, and prompting her. Janet told her to speak up, so it is CLEAR that the Jackson were focused on the WORLD hearing that "he was a good father". It also seemed very forced, a reminiscence of Jackson and his father growing up. Within minutes the video has been plastered all over the Internet, from here to China. That will haunt this young girl forever!~

Sad indeed, very sad!

"He paid a family over $20,000,000 in the 1990's to hush up."

Look, his lawyer said that he prompted Michael to settle out of court with this family, AND Michael was devastated! After that raid, he never returned to never land! IF he were a pedophile, he would have not been SO affected by these accusations, and would not have abandoned his home.

BOTH families that accused Jackson HAVE filed prior lawsuits against others! That's a FACT!

Should he have been watching T.V. in his bed with children, NO!

Some doctor will most likely end up in prison as Michael had unlabeled
bottles of Diprivan in his home. This is NOT prescribed, but rather used in surgery.

Michael was a VERY religious and god fearing person as well.

Enough said!

I don't think the kids dye their hair or skin - I don't think they are biologically Michael Jackson's. I imagine they are 100% Caucasian.

I didn't view the family as pushing Paris. It looked like they were supporting her.

Than why did it take 50 hands adjusting the microphone as if her being heard was a matter of life and death? And Janet's telling her to speak up! leave the darn kid alone, let her whisper, or whatever.

The Jackson are really quite different by default. His parents filed bankruptcy on FIVE HUNDRED MILLION, 7 years ago! Hmmm? How did they go 500 million in debt, when Michael has been paying ALL of their bills for YEARS, including the payments on a mansion and all the luxury cars etc.

I also wonder why they felt it necessary to ride in Rolls Royce's to the memorial? Do they ALL have their own Roll's and drivers, or are Michael's children ultimately paying for that?

Something is up with that will as well! 40% to his 82 year old mother and 40% divided by three young children? Jackson's FATHER will manage to SPEND his mothers money anyway! he is controlling and she is scared of him. He lives in Vegas and comes to the So Cal mansion, whenever he wants.

Joe jackson gives me the ceeeps and if anyone is guilty of child abuse, it's Joe Jackson.

RIP Michael Jackson!

Of course she felt that way. Any child of her age would feel that way about their father.
The photograph of Michael Jackson smiling while scaring his baby by dangling him over the edge of a balcony is sickening.
A person who makes beautiful art, whether the art is music, painting, dance, etc., is not necessarily a beautiful person. One might think the two go hand in hand, but they do not. That is why people who get to personally know an artist they think the world of are often sadly disappointed by the actual person.
If you've never gotten to know an artist you admire, you can cling to the dream that they are personally as beautiful as their art.

The only thing more pathetic than the staged, rehearsed memorial service (who rehearses a funeral?), is the line of people who wanted to pay tribute to a drug addicted, psychologically unbalanced, supremely talented dancer, singer, and pedophile.

He ADMITTED to having little boys in his bed. And it's not "kids" that he loves, it's BOYS. When have you ever heard about him with girls?! Adults are supposed to be the protectors of the children, so the parents are equally at fault, but MJ was a warped sociopath who thought his own rules superceded basic decency.

He was also a great dancer and a great singer... up until about 20 years ago when his last musically relevant period ended. This should be this generation's equivalent of Elvis' death, nothing more.

Hey Mary,

What part do you find pathetic? Toxic, maybe, but pathetic? If you're looking for pathetic, you should consider your own blind hero worship of a musically gifted drug addict and pedophile to be the more pathetic post.

You're putting musical ability above moral decency. How pathetic is that?

WHO PAYS............for all of the police, crowd control, road closures, city workers, county workers. WHO PAYS.......the tax payers of LA, the tax payers of Calif. I'm sure that the Jackson family can't be expected to pay because the "father" is too busy launching his new record label. I hope somebody in city, county or state government has enough "guts" to hold someone responsible and not the tax payers. This funeral/memorial is as bizarre as the life that Michael Jackson lead, and the tax payers should not have to pay for bizarre.

I believe that michael jackson was a child molester who raped boys. When the complete toxicology report is released, everybody will know that he was an addict. Whether or not he was a "good" father, time will tell.

Jackson was a public figure and there's never a right time to discuss what has happened. The pleas to hold back and to pretend that he was all cool and only cool is crazy making. He's the guy that talked about sharing his bed with boys and tried to normalize his behavior. And, nobody hands over $20 million except as hush money. For those of you who think that his father has some splaining to do, don't count on it! If you think that the mother should have been stronger and protected him as a child, she wasn't so get over it. He's dead.

In my opinion, Jackson planned his own death. He knew the risks of meds that he was on and he knew that any doc that worked for him was unethical and only wanted his money. He wanted to fix and he knew what he had to do to do it. He was very aware that he might never wake up but his addiction was more powerful than he and it kicked his a_s. His addiction had a life of its own and he was it's slave. He made a conscious decision to take a hit, end of story.

Many child molesters rape children and never get convicted. Very few if any child molesters rape only one child, they have many victims.

sorry to be one of the people that ruins your fantasy mary...

People need to leave him alone and remember him for all the positive he brought to this world. What other person has been able to find a commonality among us? Practically no one.

God Bless Michael Jackson and his 3 children. May their sad life be over and may they start to live a normal life. MJ could never do the things that he was being accused of. People needed to leave him alone so that he wasn't forced to live the "drug" life he lived. Remember the MJ from the 80's and mourn the worlds loss with a SMILE on your face. He gave to so many organizations and people forget what he did but only talk about what he was ACCUSED of. Innocent untl proven quilty.

As a parent, if someone even so much as touched my children, no amount of money would make me go away. NONE!!! I would not go away until they were put in jail.... or worse. Those of you accusing him of being a pedophile & child molester - would money pay YOU off for the damage that has been done to your kid(s)?? These people who accused him of doing these things were only after one thing, and got exactly what thet wanted - MONEY!! Greed is the root of all evil, and those that falsely accused him will be the ones to who will "meet their maker" and be judged.

He was and always will be, a true ICON.

I think that MJ had such a twisted childhood himself (or really a lack of childhood) that he lived his entire adulthood trying to be a child. He definitely made some poor choices, but that in and of itself doesn't mean he was a child molester.

I do not think Paris was "coerced" into speaking. It's funny how differently people can view the same event. Looking at the footage I see a child who wants to speak and is surrounded by family trying to support her. Her emotion hardly seemed rehearsed or fake.

I can't believe so many people are willing to give a pass to an admitted deviant... just because he could sing and dance?!?!

Suppose Willie Nelson announces that he's been having 10-12 year old boys over for "sleep-overs" at his house, and that he's been sharing his bed with them. Would he still get the loving treatment you're giving Jacko?

Or Bill Gates, who has given millions (maybe billions) of dollars to charity... Suppose he makes the same admission on national TV and says "It's totally innocent when little boys sleep in my bed next to me". Is that OK with you?

Here's a different point of view on the accusations of MJ being a pedofile. With the thousands and thousands of children that have stayed at Neverland, how come only TWO ever accused him of abuse? If you're a pedofile, it's not something you can turn on and off. If it were really true, other families would have come out of the woodwork claiming abuse. Not just two.

Now that he's gone, my greatest prayer is that they will leave him alone. His children will some day see all of the awful things written about their father and be broken-hearted all over again.

God bless those three children and may they have a guardian who will truly put their needs first and provide as much of a normal existence as possible.

Parent of two,

You are out of line. We have a constitution and like it or not, Michael was found NOT guilty! You really think that in that high profile case, that he would have walked if the accusations were true?
The parents had sued others and that's a fact! IF they really believed (two sets of parents) that this happened, then taking a settlement out of court was a HUGE SIN, as they were NOT concerned about any other potential victims.

Concerned parent,

I can't agree with you more. Someone mentioned that kids were the only humans that weren't in themselves, out to GET something from Michael. He was also emotionally immature, not a sin.

P.S. If you have seen pictures of Jacksons former bedroom and bed, it's NOT a typical set up! he said he watched movies on the bed, not that he SLEPT with the children!

His room was massive as was his bed! get a clue!

Jon,

You're being naive. You're acting like it's not possible that the parents might be money-grubbing scumbags AND Jacko is guilty. OJ was found "not guilty" too. Fame and money buys you adoration and your own kind of justice.

And you never answered my question: If Willie Nelson made the same admissions as Jacko (little boys in bed, sleepovers, etc.) would you give the same leniency to him?

are you serious PToWN94566? all the "positive" he brought to this world was a genre of music and a crazy dance step. this guy was an entertainer, not a pope, world leader, philanthropist, or a scientist or doctor that cured people. a commonality? which commonality was that? black people trying to turn themselves white? people who over use plastic surgery procedures? or maybe weathy eccentrics who engage in all manner of bizarre behaviors?

ty pennington and his extreme home makeover team have brought more positive to this world in one week than jackson ever did in a lifetime.

To Parent of Two: YOU are extremely naive and ignorant. Are you serious? First - You are completely out of line comparing MJ to a murderer.
Second - Lets look at Willie Nelson, a white man who has admittantly and openly smoked pot & whatever other drugs, and to this day, continues to do illegal drugs. Lets compare him to, lets say, a famous black entertainer - would that black entertainer have the authorities look away? Absolutely NOT! That man would be in jail for who knows how long. Lets take another white man who runs a dog fighting business in the South, law enforcement turns their cheek. Now compare him to Michael Vick. This can go on and on and on. Don't pull the race card or whatever other card you're TRYING to pull. Won't work here. Good luck!
Your comparisons are rediculous, as are your accusations on this blog.

My heart is so broken into pieces for the children of Michael Jackson. He was no pedophile or predator of children. He loved all things childish because he never got to have one. I don't think he was ever improper or out of line with kids.

He lived to make others happy. He didn't have a selfish bone in his blessed and talented body.

May he live in peace now and may others finally let go of their hatred for anyone different from themselves.

I love Michael Jackson and I plan to pray for those children who have lost their Daddy at such a tender age and who loved him more than anything.

If there is anyone "suspect" in this entire situation it is Joe Jackson. I pray he never gets his hands anywhere near those sweet children or the money that their father wants for them.

I wish Brooke Shields would have been named the caretaker in the will. She would have always nurtured the love for their father that is so well deserved. I'm not sure if Katherine can stand up to Joe at 79 if she needed to. I just want them protected and loved and cared for.

God bless Michael Jackson's three children always.

willie nelson has never made a secret of his pot smoking, but he has also yet to be caught while doing it or in possession of drugs or drug paraphanalia, unlike jackson who had hundreds of drug prescriptions, many obtained fraudulently under ficticious names.

and i would like to know the name of the "other white man" in the south who is running a dog fighting business. however, i do agree with you that mike vick was penalized far more than he should have been.

Wow, there sure are some naive people running around out there...

Do any of you actually have small children? If Flavor Flav wanted to lay in YOUR son's bed (I picked him to eliminate the "race card") to "watch movies", would you let him?

p.s. Michele, your grammar and syntax are a little messed-up. Are you saying that Willie Nelson would be "OK for sleepovers" or not? And, by the way, Jacko used drugs... a lot of them. That's not a way to score points on his behalf.

One point where I agree is that Joe Jackson is the root cause of the problems, for Jacko, LaToya, and all the kids and grandkids. But that doesn't excuse some morally scuzzy behavior by MJ. Should Jeffrey Dahmer have been allowed to go free because his dad mistreated him?

I would think everyone here would be more upset over the fact that the California taxpayers have to pony up $80 million to pay for the MJ memorial service. Fan or not, why should we have to pay for his memorial? Especially now when we are laying off teachers, closing fire stations, and cutting back on health care for kids. Let the family, celebrities, or corporate sponsors pick up the tab.

Prove that CA taxpayers must "pony up $80 million". Put up or shut up!

There are so many Rebecca's of Sunny Brook Farm trying desperately to prove that the self-hating mj was cool and clean as a whistle. His arms had multiple needle tracks! But wait, maybe all the those tracks were just mosquito scratches? Hmmmmmmmmm....? Addicts love their points more than fixing. Yup, he used so many needles and did so many booty bumps that he looked like a pin cushion!

You can pray until the cows come home, there's no way of knowing how much damage mj did to his 3 children. Time will tell. And, your prayers aren't going to change anything go give it up!

Child molester's have multiple victims. They are fantastic people manipulators. Millions still don't believe that clergy have sexually abuse tens of thousands of children. Some people still believe that the earth is flat. Millions of others don't believe that the holocaust ever happened. You can also mourn and deny whatever you want to mourn and deny. MJ was a child molester and he paid $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to cover it up.

I look forward to the Coroner's findings and expect that within the next year, other mj victims will come forth. Until then, ta-ta rock heads!

Los Angeles has estimated the cost of police presence, etc. for MJ's funeral to be around $4 million. Given the state of California's budget, not to mention the whining that has ensued on this forum about various budget cuts, I would think we'd be seeing people pissin' and moanin' about that!

Instead, we still debate whether MJ had a thing for little boys. Need anyone need reminding that on January 1, 1994, MJ settled a civil suit out of court with the Chandler family and their legal team for $22 million. An innocent man doesn't "settle." He generally wants his day in court.

Sheesh -- $22 million. That would have certainly solved a lot of PUSD's financial woes.
