Thanks for the cover story on the Community of Character and those receiving the Juanita Haugen award for Community involvement and service. We all need to focus on what we can do as individuals to make Pleasanton a healthy, happy place to live. The character traits chosen by Pleasanton are actively demonstrated in the the lives of Jerri Long, Ken Mano and
Sue Evans.

My personal thanks to ALL of the award winners, Sue Evans, Ken Mano, and my neighbor, Jerri Long. I knew and admired Juanita Haugan and I think it is wonderful that we, as a community, are honoring her memory by honoring theses individuals. Thank you for your service.
