How about she focus on the oversight of the wasteful spending by our State and Federal goverments. Just another one looking to put more and more rules on doing business.
I feel sorry for corporations (yes I know some are bad)but the most are decent companies. With all these new laws and regulatons / taxes you will see more moving there headquarters to other countries.

Just another part of the problem rather than part of the solution. Tax and spend that is what she is all about regardless of what she says. What has she accomplished in life?

The man that holds the highest office in our land did just like Buchanan is doing...using a platform to run for another. Is that how we want those elected officials to behave?
The platform you are elected to is a place to serve the people that elected you. If you won't use the platform for that purpose, then you really should step down. It is not for personal use.
I may disagree with Joan's politics here, but more importantly is I disagree with how she is pursuing her personal ambitions.
Step down and run is the best solution for all of us. Where is your integrity?

I do not kike the idea that Buchanan is running for another office so soon. If she wins, then how will they replace her and how much is that going to cost the taxpayers.
Regarding President Obama's term in US Senate, from FactCheck.org: "Obama has been in the U.S. Senate since January 2005"
Regarding his tenure in the Illinois legislature, I cannot speak to that but it's the Illinois citizens that determine his worthiness of being elected to any office, regardless if state or federal. For California and Buchanan, I am not happy she is running and would consider voting against given a worthy opponent.

The California Political Bubble continues.
How can candidates Garamendi and DeSaulnier consider running for the US Congress, CA District 10? Our State Government is broken and in the process of shutting down, these two men are no small part of the problem yet they think voters will send them to Washington. This is what happens to career politicians; they get surrounded by a bubble and lose touch with the people they represent. I can't imagine anybody seriously thinking that these two individuals have done a good job. They represent exactly what is wrong with the State of California. It would be different if these candidates had exercised a leadership role in resolving California's budget crisis. Instead where are they? Running for a Federal office. Whatever happened to public servants sacrificing and working hard to get a difficult the job done? Their only priority is to get reelected. I hope that you will visit Web Link to see the many MUCH more qualified candidates seeking this position.
