Obama the muslim State, National, International, posted by Heidi, a resident of the Danbury Park neighborhood, on Jun 8, 2009 at 4:24 pm
From a Vietnam era Marine Corps Pilot--American Airlines pilot:
I was at Blockbusters on Saturday renting videos, and I was going along the wall and there was a video called "Obama". I told the men next to me that I wouldn't waste my time. We started talking about Obama.
These guys were Arabs, and I asked them why they thought Michele Obama headed home following her visit in France instead of traveling on to Saudi Arabia and Turkey with her husband. They said she couldn't go to Saudi Arabia, Turkey or Iraq. I said "Laura Bush went to Saudi Arabi a, Turkey, Dubai ."
They answered, "Obama is a Muslim, and by Muslim law, he would not be allowed to bring his wife into the countries that accept Sharia Law."
Just thought it was interesting that the Arabs at Blockbuster's accept the idea that we're being led by a Muslim who follows the Islamic creed. They also said that's the reason he bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia. It was a signal to the Muslim world.

Nice try, but Turkey is a secular state and doesn't have Sharia law.

The Hanbali school, known for following the most Orthodox form of Islam, is embraced in Saudi Arabia and by the Taliban. The Hanafi school or Sharia law, known for being the most liberal and the most focused on reason and analogy, is dominant among Sunnis in Central Asia, Egypt, Pakistan, India, China, Turkey, the Balkans, and the Caucasus.

Let's not confuse readers. Sharia is not the foundational basis of law in Turkey. Turkey is constantly outlawing political parties who seek to impose such law. That isn't to say it doesn't exist or isn't respected, only that there is no imposition of Sharia like the other countries Turkey is being compared to (i.e., Saudi Arabia).

Sad, sad that believe you he's something he's not, sad that you believe that it matters. If he was a jew would it bother you? JFK was catholic did that bother you? Let's admit it's the name. If he was Paul Christianson would you believe he was what he says he is? Are you taking some random video rental customers as authorities on peoples beliefs. Let me follow with this, your name is Heidi so you are not a Marine pilot or any other type of pilot since you are a woman. A woman at Hollywood Video told me that a woman can't be a pilot because they can barely drive cars. If a woman said that why can't we all except it as true? Maybe you know what the First Lady does and why, but you really don't.

2ME4U: Thank you for that! Hey, her name is Heidi which is Germanic - do we assume that she's a Nazi? That's what people used to ASSume about German people. Maybe she has blonde pig tails too!

Wow nice try, GOOD WORK! That is classic. If you haven't clicked "nice trys" link you are missing it all. Basically the story is B.S. and is being passed on by right wingers to justify their hate.

I am not sure if he is a muslim or not but if so even more worried than I am now after hearing his speech today. He said when lobbying for the stimulus money that if passed unemployment would not go over 8.2% but today it is up to 9.4% and now the markets are reacting to the spending by raising interest rates so you know what that will do to interest rates on home loans. I wish Hillary had been elected at least we would know she had some qualifications.

2ME4U: Well, did you hear it at the video store? If so, it must be true!

hahahahahaha, this is just about the funniest thing I've ever heard! I love the, "I heard someone talking at Blockbuster so it must be true." Please don't tell me that this is the future of the Republican Party. Really?!? I know REAL conservatives; some of my best friends are REAL conservatives and this is just sad. This is not what REAL conservatives stand for people; this is just silly.

Just consider that he/she/it claims to work for American Airlines. Abbreviated as "AA". Therefore, obviously, that person is a member of Alcoholics Anonymous and all American Airlines pilots are drunks. I love this logic stuff, it is such a great way to make sense out of the world.

Obama the Muslim
Max the Christian
Chee the Marxist
Ron the Tao Cultist
Sara the Mormon
COME ON, GET A GRIP! I thought we we above and beyond predudice, with all our Pleasanton smarts and educated folks?
A VERY small persentage of any and all religions, has a radical and dangerous element. Very much so, in Christianity! We as a nation have been more destructive, violant and radical as terrorists in other countries, than any other nation and or religion.
As hard as the right tried to get the american public to believe that Obama is a Muslim, he was vored in anyways. Perhaps the majority are stupid, lame, ignorant etc.? perhaps we as a country are above and beyong this type of prejudice and ignornace?
Obama inherited a very screwed up County and said from the beggining that there is a LOT of work ahead, and not to expect perfection, but rather progress.
The right has been on a mission to discreit Obama and dis respect him from the start. The Dems were nowhere near as disrespectful of Bush, even though her nearly destroyed our international standing and ran the country into the dirt.
If were not careful, were going to fall apart and have a civil war here.
I got another old one. There were these extra speakers on the truck and my boss said I can sell them cheap. I'll give you a great deal here in the Home Depot parking lot. Google 'Speakers white van Home Depot parking lot' and learn about that one too.

Christians go to other countries, give them medical care, etc., and then make the people pay for it by giving up their religion and accepting Christianity. In some cultures their religion affects their entire community life. Their religion determines their job, their status in society, how they resolve conflict, who they marry, etc. When Christians eradicate another people's religion they have destroyed an entire culture.
Would we be okay with getting better medical care (the U.S. has the highest infant mortality rate of developed nations) in return for giving up our religion and taking on the religion of the do-gooders?
