While I'm sure that all the people that have roads and things named after them deserve them - is this really what we need to be spending time and money on right now in California?

I don't know how much time it takes, nor the costs associated with it (or even where that money comes from), but in a time when the state is bankrupt, budgets are slashed is this the a wise spending of money.

Secondly, even if times were good, shouldn't we take the money spent on naming things and do something good - like college scholarships in these peoples names? Or victims family funds or something other than road signs?

Don't miss out on the discussion!
