"especially during times mountain lions are known to be most active: at dusk, at night and early in the morning."

12:22 p.m. is in broad daylight. Is this cat's clock out of whack?

What was the mountain lion's position on Measure G?! That seems to be the only way to get a response around here...

Measure G is dead. The mountain lion is still alive. That about covers it.

To Wendy,

You would not be so casual about the mountain lion if it was:

1. in your neighborhood
2. your son walked to school along Martin (and now can't)
3. you walked your dog along the beautiful Martin path

Love the drama in that part of town...from tire slashing to road extension...and now mountain lion is keeping you people from walking (trespassing if you ask the mountain lion) into the mountain lion's HOME! And it's the mountain lion's fault...

Yeah, it's a thrill a minute out here. I still walk my dog every night. I've seen plenty of critters (deer, skunk, fox, raccoon), but haven't seen a mountain lion yet.

What if anything are the police or the city doing about this? Seems to me if true it is a far bigger problem than anything else going on in the city.

We have had mountain lions in town before, and in Livermore also. They usually don't bother anyone. People get nervous about them around a school, that's understandable. Why don't the police get someone from the Fish and Game or Wildlife group to tranquilize it and take it back over the hill to the Bernal Wilderness Park? It hasn't threatened anyone that I know of, but this way people could calm down and the animal is not shot unnecessarily.

Unless it threatens people, it does not need to be shot!
