Obama wants to shutdown Gitmo and transfer to ADX Supermax because Gitmo inhumane....you decide.
Prisoner life
In SHU, prisoners are generally allowed out of their cells for only one hour a day; they are kept in solitary confinement. They receive their meals through ports, also known as "chuck holes," in the doors of their cells. When Supermax inmates are allowed to exercise, this may take place in a small, enclosed area where the prisoner will exercise alone.
Prisoners are under constant surveillance, light on 24 hours a day ,usually with closed-circuit television cameras. Cell doors are usually opaque, while the cells may be windowless. Conditions are spartan, with poured concrete or metal furniture common. Often cell walls, and sometimes plumbing, are soundproofed to prevent communication between the inmates.

I think we are doing this incorrectly. California or Arnie should petition to take all of them in California for a significant fee as he is willing to do anything for money and after we get all of them we should not afford them special protection but rather release them in the general prison population in San Quentin, Folsom, Corcoran, and Mule Creek...............problem solved.

Sorry for getting serious about this topic, but these guys at Gitmo are dangerous people who in most cases believe that you and I should be dead by their hands. Their fanatical version of Islam tells them that we are infidels and should die.
There is already a big problem in the state prison system with radical Islam inmates converting other inmates to their way of thinking. What do you think would happen when you put these Gitmo-radicals into the prison population and allow them to start teaching their ideology to those prisoners who have parole possibilities? You eventually end up with more radical Islamist extremists on the street than you could have ever imagined.
When you identify a killer disease you don't let the carriers roam around in the general population. You do everything you can to isolate, quarantine it, and eliminate it.

Supporting my earlier comment about developing radical Islam in prison, read this article about the 4 terrorists arrested in New York attempting to blow up synagogues. They converted in prison...
Case closed. Lock the doors and throw away the keys to Gitmo. Just keep feeding them and cleaning up after them. But leave them there. Don't bring them here.
