Date Night at Tommy T's
Restaurants, posted by Jill Buck, a resident of the Del Prado neighborhood, on May 17, 2009 at 10:09 am

With three busy kids in the house, it's pretty tough for my husband and I to get a date night. But we were granted a furlough last night, and ended up seeing Mark Curry at Tommy T's. What a blast! We like to watch stand up comedy on Comedy Central sometimes when the kids have gone to bed, and Tommy T's brings in some of our favorite acts. Last night Mark Curry had the crowd rolling, and even brought everyone who was celebrating a birthday, anniversary, etc. up on stage, and did this hilarious ad lib segment that really got the crowd involved. It was great!

And to top it all off, the food at Tommy T's is fantastic! I just had a burger, but I think it might have been one of the best cheeseburgers I've ever had. I've had steak there before, and it was the kind of melt-in-your-mouth steak experience that you crave.

During this economy, I'm a big proponent of supporting our local businesses, and Tommy T's makes it fun! I highly recommend his place for a great date night! Here's the website for more details on upcoming acts: Web Link

And Tommy T's has a benefit on this week through the 21st, raising funds for the children and families of the four fallen Oakland Police Officers.

Hey Jill, I've always meant to go to Tommy T's and by the sound of it, it should be a fun date night for date night too :) I too like to spend my money in my home town of Pleasanton when ever I can. The Berry Patch just moved to a larger location downtown and is now where DoodleBug used to be at the corner of Main and Angela. Lots of great shopping in all ranges of price. Check it out. Local Artists and bay area artists with jewelry, home wares...paintings (me and a few friends of Poetry on Canvas) kid stuff too!
