"Yes on G" Guarantees Double Taxation
Schools & Kids, posted by Thanks Feds, a resident of the Another Pleasanton neighborhood neighborhood, on May 15, 2009 at 12:34 pm

The Federal Government has already committed $6.7 million to California School in order to back fill the cuts from the State government (the intent of Measure G). We also know that there is more coming and is expected to be at least $1.2 million according to the district. This money is not free. It comes from increased federal taxes that we will be paying.

Measure G was written before we knew we were to receive this much money from the federal stimulus package. Now that we know the amount, Measure G is unnecessary. Not only is it unnecessary, if it is passed we will be paying twice; once in federal taxes, and again in a parcel tax. How much increased spending can we pass on to our kids? This is not fair to them. If you are for the kids, you will vote No on Measure G.
