Would Sarah Palin support Measure G? Schools & Kids, posted by observer, a resident of another community, on Apr 25, 2009 at 11:42 pm
We've seen many postings both pro and against Measure G on this forum. The issue has tended to have a local focus (understandably). But it might be instructive to ask what prominent national figures would say regarding this tax proposal.
I therefore ask, what would Sarah Palin say to question of whether citizens of Pleasanton should supporting increasing taxes in this specific way? Would she be for it, or against it? Why or why not?
She has said she is a supporter of education, but also a supporter of tax cuts. How would she reconcile these conflicting needs?
She has said she supports teaching Creationism along side the theory of evolution to give students a chance to debate the issue.
A future column could ask the same question for Barack Obama or other leaders (maybe the founding fathers).
What general principals regarding liberty, taxation, and American values apply to the issue.

Pointless hypothetical question.
Why not ask if Jesus Christ or Gautama Buddha or Miss USA would be in favor of the parcel tax?

When an 'out of town - observer' wants to know what an 'out of town - governor' thinks... you know they're getting worried.
Most Pleasanton folks I talk with are in agreement. Manage with what you've got! Don't waste it and then try to get more. The well's run dry. Not one penny more!!

This is the worst post in the history of the Pleasanton Weekly. Palin is too busy shooting at wolves from her helicopter to worry about public schools.
