Does anyone know how the two 19yr olds in the accident on Vineyard are?

MercuryNew.com: PLEASANTON — Police say excessive speed and unfamiliarity with the road may have led to a pickup truck crashing into a tree Wednesday morning, seriously injuring a passenger.

In a press release, police reported that at about 4:40 a.m. a 1994 Chevrolet S-10 pick up driven by a 19-year-old Pleasanton man lost control turning down Grapevine Drive from Vineyard Avenue, striking a tree.

The impact crushed the passenger side seat, causing traumatic head and chest injuries to the passenger, another 19-year-old Pleasanton man. He was taken to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley and remained hospitalized there Wednesday afternoon.

The driver was taken to ValleyCare Medical Center in Pleasanton for treatment of minor injuries to his forehead and nose. He was expected to be treated and released.

Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash, police said.

Investigators said many area residents heard the crash and called police, but no witnesses have been yet found. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call Officer Glen Cornell at 925-931-5100 or Sgt. Michael Collins at 925-931-5186.
