With Earth Day just days away (April 22), the Pleasanton Farmers' Market will soon roll out a new initiative to eliminate the usage of plastic. By the end of next month, consumers will notice the campaign to reduce plastics--in the form of containers and utensils served to those who buy meals and plastic bags used for produce purchases.

I am living in Korea right now, and here, they charge $1.00 for every bag that you ask for. People just bring their own cloth bags where ever they go.... I would think that the USA could do at least as well as South Korea!

I can't believe they won't have space for the Fudge/Caramel Apple guy! He was very popular and every time I was at his booth someone was coming up asking for his caramel apples.
