Measure G and Prop 8 Schools & Kids, posted by Hoss, a resident of the Ponderosa neighborhood, on Apr 15, 2009 at 1:51 pm
Supporters of Prop 8 claimed not to hate gays, and now opponents of Measure G claim to be pro-teacher. Does this sound like weird cult logic to anyone other than me?

Hoss,
Ironically, there are some who would say that Prop 8 passed largely due to support and contributions from a cult, while others would say no one has the right to question the logic of their religious leader whom all must obey. So it's really just a question of perspective.

I think that this would be a clearer comparison between the two:
Each seeks to impose the will of a majority on a select population. I seem to remember that this type of bias was hailed as a tragic injustice by most in the education business.
It’s funny how perspectives can change once some perceive that they have something to gain through legal process.

Do I have to show you the connection...OK I will.
G is the seventh letter, add 7+8 and you get 15, add 1+5 and you get 6, multiply 6x3 and you get 18, add 1+8 and you get 9, subtract 9-1 and you get 8, subtract, add, multiply, yadda yadda yadda. That's as clear as I can make it,and it still makes more sense than Hoss.

I love this forum!! You guys always make me smile and make my day! I usually just read and enjoy those that defend my point of view via their own. But I just had to write this time. I wish I "knew" who my actual like-minded neighbors were...I am so tired of feeling like I am the only one with any logic among my "friends" and "neighbors".
Thank you especially to Joe!! :) That was the best explanation I have heard in a long time!!
