A family treasure chest may have accidentally been donated to the Hospice Thrift Shoppe in Dublin. While it may not be filled with gold or gemstones, its contents are likely very valuable to someone.

Is there some reason you wouldn't contact area senior centers; synagogues; assisted living communities like Reutslinger in Danville??

This shouldn't be difficult. Those are modern [recent] blinds in the windows.

If no one comes forward I'd love to make sure they aren't just destroyed....

While the blinds look modern the date on the picture is 1999 so it might be a tough search. I applaud the effort to find the family - I know that I'd be very appreciative!

Looks like a recent photo. Is it just me, or does the enlarged picture of the gentleman have a strong resemblance to Jack Benny? Hope someone will come forward.

What Sweetie Pies! I would take the treasure box to a local Rav and ask for advice on how to proceed.

One possibility. My wife tells me during the holocaust suitcases with a families dearest possessions were often given by jewish families to gentiles before they were shipped off. Possibly the photo could be of one of those recipients...who had nothing else to do with the suitcase if the family was lost.
