Suggestions for Rehearsal Dinner???
Restaurants, posted by mach1mary, a resident of the Del Prado neighborhood, on Apr 10, 2009 at 12:09 am

We're planning our first Rehearsal Dinner and wondering if anyone has had some experiences that they'd be willing to share. We're considering Gira Sole, Agora and Garlic Di Pasta. I'm interested in something with a bit more choice and a tad more variety than the pasta oriented ones, though they have been the most suggested. Moderate budget to be considered.

Good food and ambience are the keys, though pricing is right in there, too.

Thanks!

A friend of ours used the Pleasanton Masonic Center and a caterer called A Tasteful Affair. They said they had an outstanding event. It was decorated nicely and the food was outstanding. A Tastful Affair has a website but I don't know their phone number. You might consider them. Hope this helps.

We used to have a meeting at Girasole once a month, and I can't rave about the food. They didn't seem to put a lot of effort into making sure we were happy. It was nothing special.

My advice to you is don't get married. She will sick the life out of you and will nag you to death. She may seem fine now but she will change and not in a good way. The wedding day will be the best then it's all down hill from there.

I'm just kidding being married to the right person makes for a great marriage. I've been married 14 years and I would do it all over again.

What about Taco Bell or KFC?

My second recommendation is Redcoats. Very nice.

How many people will be invited? You might check with Bella at First Street Cafe (next to Graham Piano & Pleasanton Glass). The restaurant is small, but the food is excellent and she does private functions as well.

If you have a bigger group, what about DeLatorre's at Hopyard & W.Las Positas?

Maybe consider Eddie Papas. They have a great bar area, the prices are reasonable, and the service is great. They personalize their clientele, and their menu is unique. It also has the ambiance that you might like for a rehearsal dinner.
