State of the City
Around Town, posted by Editor, Pleasanton Weekly Online, on Mar 25, 2009 at 6:34 pm

Mayor Jennifer Hosterman delivered a rousing State of the City speech Tuesday at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel, acknowledging the dire economic crisis, but emoting an upbeat tone for Pleasanton's financial situation. She has 2 more years on her current term and then can run for 1 more term of 2 years. Then she will be termed out as Mayor. Tecnically, she could run for 1 more 4 year term as council member.

"With that segway, Hosterman said..." Did Hosterman saddle up on to her SEGWAY to ride off to the next point? It must have been something to see--riding a SEGWAY while delivering a speech! Or did the reporter mean SEGUE, to transition smoothly to the next topic?

This was a nice article other than the distracting misspelling! Thanks, Janet, for the laugh!
