ATTN: ALL DOG WALKERS AND DRIVERS ON WESTBRIDGE LANE Around Town, posted by Dog Walker, a resident of the Happy Valley neighborhood, on Mar 18, 2009 at 2:29 pm
Dog walkers, please clean up after your pet.
Drivers, whether you are a resident, construction worker, golfer, visitor, whatever. PLEASE SLOW DOWN. It's only a matter of time until someone gets hurt.

It's in the south off of Happy Valley Rd.
Runs along the "Callippe Preserve Golf Course", which I've never even heard of...after living in Pleasanton for 12 years.

AVHS Dad,
You have not heard of Callippe? Do you live under a rock? Poke your head out every once in a while and see what is going on. This is a fantastic golf course. Go play.

This is what the Happy Valley residents have complained about BEFORE the ridiculous golf course and homes were built. Our beloved pets have been killed by the speeding golfers and someone WILL get hit by a car. It's just a matter of time. Kids ride their bikes long there to go to school....people stop to visit the animals. A BYPASS ROAD MUST BE BUILT. Guess we just have to wait for a child to get hit before the city will follow through on its promises to the residents

@ What the & M,
I know, I know...I'm so ashamed!
My only justification is that we don't golf.
Back to the topic, my dog is amazing in that she only does #1 on our nightly walks, never #2. She saves #2 for our backyard. The 2 to 3 times she's EVER done #2 away from our yard (on LOOOONG walks) I always bagged it and tossed it in a garbage can.
As far as the speeding drivers go, some people will always be in too much of a hurry. The most immediate thing you can do is complain to police. A strategically placed police car would do wonders. Is there a particular time that is worse than others? Evening commute? Morning commute? Weekends?
