Huge crowds jam streets in Dublin for 26th annual St. Pat's Day festival

Dublin ended its three-day celebration of St. Patrick's Day today with music, food, vendor booths, Irish dancers and more filling the Civic Center plaza.

Thank you to the Pleasanton Weekly staff for being a part of our festivities!

One of the more funnier moments, although it could have turned out tragically if it wasn't for the old sheepherder dog to the rescue, was the "escape" by the sheep during a demonstration of sheep herding. The orange plastic fence was too flimsy for a frantic sheep. I think the younger dog was driving them nuts, and had to get away.

Fortunately, due to the many baseball fences and the experience of a veteran dog the four escapees were contained then "directed" into a waiting trailer. Now THAT was a real demonstration.
