Sounds like Oakland is invading Pleasanton. Look out people, here they come. First the mall, now the business areas. Next it will be our homes. Just can't get away from it.

We all know there is an alarming level of crime in Oakland and none of us would want to live there. We all fear Pleasanton becoming like the high crime cities why is that racial?

Cholo,
I do not think the people we are concerned about coming in from Oakland are here for culture. And I do not think anyone said anything about race.
I don't know about you but I can't remember the last time I hoped on BART and went to Oakland for culture. Maybe S.F., or Berkeley. The last time I was in Oakland was to look for my kidnapped niece who was being held in an apartment on Coliseum ave. Now that's culture........

I am no longer a Pleasanton resident, but I do still have family in my good old hometown. I have only been gone for a couple of years, but everyone knew once BART was established in Pleasanton that everything would start going down. Pleasanton needs to stand strong and push these low life scumbags out of the area. Go back to Oakland where you belong! Even sitting on BART passing through Oakland, you see how bad it is and the reality of it. No one is being racist here, but the truth hurts.

Report any suspicious activity. PPD still responds quickly. As long as people stay involved and don't become immune to crime we can keep a lid on at least some of it. A guy was caught breaking into cars in Pleasanton Valley, last Sunday morning, because people saw him, called PPD and they responded in minutes.

Pleasanton PD responding in minutes? No, I don't think so. Based on my personal experience, they don't care and they don't do their job efficiently. I have learned not to report anything to them. The only thing they care about is giving us taxing paying citizens a ticket. Bingo.

"Concerned":
It's interesting how some people blame PD when they get a ticket instead of focusing on their own behavior. PPD's average response time for emergency calls is 5 minutes (Web Link). Since you "don't report anything" who do you plan on calling if your house, car, etc. is being broken into?
