I just wanted to take a moment to say that I wish the Lamont family strength and for Mr. Lamont to make a speedy and full recovery. Your family is in the thoughts and prayers of this local family. And I wish courage upon the youths involved to do the right thing and take full ownership of their actions.
This is the kind of event that is traumatic for everybody. It stirs up enormous anger, anxiety, great sadness. May Mr. Lamond eventually feel better and know that many good people desire his recovery.
So tragic and so unnecessary...
I remain hopeful that the guilty parties and all of those that were present be identified publicly and be punished.
Cholo..nice to have your input to be positive and uplifting here...lets all pray for this family and pray he comes too...senseless..praying for his wife and chilren.

The human body has an enormous capacity to recover, heal, and ultimately thrive again - may the force be with Mr Lamont, his physicians, and his family. Amen.
Why is it taking so long to make an arrest? The police are being too soft on these teens who are accessories after the fact if they don't help the investigation. They are criminals. Please treat them as such and close this case. Even if they didn't throw a punch, how did they not stop it when it happened, or call for help after immediately after it happened, or stand up and tell the police everything now? Were they raised by wolves? Or are they just entitled rich spoiled brats who think mommy and daddy will protect them? A man lies in a coma. This is not just teen hijinks. Please throw the book at them.
Godspeed to the Lamont family.
I'm so very sorry for what this family has been put through. I will pray for the Lamont family and do believe in miracles. I have two daughters as well that are similar ages and I just can't imagine what their Lamont sisters are going through living such a nightmare. I hope the family will continue to communicate through the PW and please let this community know what we can do to help. There are so many of us that would like to do something/anything that might be of any assistance at all. Please know we are here for you.
I do appreciate the previous comments about being hopeful that the teens involved will show the courage to own up to what has happened. In my humble opinion, the only thing worse for the Lamont family would be having to deal with years of legal proceedings over their loved one being savagely beaten.
I too wish the police were making immediate arrests and want to be upset that they have not. But then I remind myself of how they handled the Cody Hall situation and even though it was not immediate, the system worked and I pray this is the case here, but with these teens stepping up as previously posters have so eloquently stated.
Please stay strong Lamont family. And PLEASE be sure to let your community know what we can do for you. Any little thing at all. We are here for you. With much love.
I believe the PD has likely not made arrests yet because they have not completed the investigation. An investigation like this is very complex and time consuming. If they rush it and make an arrest but leave out a small detail, that can lead to a case being dismissed and no criminal charges against a suspect. I'll bet the PD wants to make an arrest just as bad as the general public does but a thorough investigation is key. Just because the juveniles were there, does not automatically mean they can be charged. Look up the legal definition of an "accessory", its going to require a bit more than what was published here to develop criminal cases. Contrary to popular belief from TV shows, if they were witnesses and did not intervene or call the police, it is not automatically a violation of a criminal statute.

Mr.Wohltmann's 'sensationalistic reporting' was straight out of the PPD press release.
I am with FHS Mom on this one. Prayers for the family.
Dear Cholo, I was very surprised to hear something so warm and positive come from you. Your normal posted comments are anything but pleasant. Maybe you are starting to realize that being nice is much better than throwing rocks.
Well my thoughts we quickly changed when I noticed the Express deleted two of your comments...They deemed them inappropriate to be published.
Thanks for listening, Julia Pardini from Alamo
PS...Maybe the first Cholo was a wannabe Cholo and not the real Cholo
AC....what you fail to realize is everyone is treated as a witness until a crime can be proven in a court of law...may I suggest you attend a Citizens Academy at the PD so you can deepen your obviously shallow knowledge pool.
An account was set up for people to donate money to them to help with bills - Web Link
