Development on W. Los Positas

Original post made by Julius on Sep 18, 2013

What are the thoughts of this 2,3 and 4 story apt complex that is most likely going to be built at 5850 W. Los Positas. Its across from Hart Middle school. How in the world is that street going to handle the traffic and the schools going to have room for all the new students.
And what about those that live across the arroyo from this development.
Those poor folks are going to have 4 story apts looking down into their yards.
Couldn't they have chosen one of the other sites for this complex.

Grow up. Just because you have a back yard doesn't mean anybody needs to snoop.

I certainly would NOT want to see you.

give it a rest...

Cholo you are the rudest person that ever posts here. If anyone needs to grow up it's you.
Julius was asking what others thought, not asking for some smart ass comment.

I think the best strategy is to ignore. Those of us with kids understand.

Let me tell you how I am solving the problem. I'm moving to the other side of town. It's already helll getting my son to Foothill on WLP and now with Stoneridge going through and the Dublinesque high density roach motel type units, I've decided to move away from south Dublin in favor of where Pleasanton still feels like Pleasanton.

To the person who said those with children understand, speak for yourself. I've had kids in Pleasanton schools for two decades now and I'm not happy that all the tax payers in this city that pay millionsbin taxes a year are now paying for the education for families that contribute nothing. Not too long ago there was a woman griping on here about how she had to demand all these special education resources all because SHE chose not to raise him speaking English so she demanded and received special education resources as a "English as a second language" or BS like that while my daughter was sharing a textbook with two other kids when our property taxes are astronomical. Our children are being ripped off and resources stolen by other selfish families doing it by choice. If you speak English, which from her posts suggest she spoke it perfectly, then don't ask my child to give up something because you chose not to teach your child a language you damn well know.

Don't even get me started. I can feel my blood pressure going up. I often go to the library a few hours here and there and can't even get on the computers because the language has been changed to something I can't even read well enough to change it back to English. GRRRRRR.

Go ahead and call me racist. I'm actually a minority with a father and grandfather that served during wartime and fought for all these things we had when people like say the Boston bombers and some in our city come and collect government resources, tap out our resources, free college, steal instruction time for our kids when their own families came five years ago and want to steal everything they can when my family risked their lives for us to have this.

Anyone want to push the PUSD to admit to the millions spent in special education for kid's whose parents CHOOSE not to teach them English?

'30 years..', so nice to hear someone actually stating the obvious (at least to residents of Pleasanton that contribute to the city's welfare), even if it isn't politically correct. I'm afraid more residents will pack up and move as the roaches infest the once proud city.
As far as posters like cholo, just ignore him. He has nothing better to do in his retirement, which is kinda sad and pathetic. I hope for the rest of us, when we reach that age, we don't end up bitter and alone, posting bile from our basements.
OK, back to work...gotta pay those property taxes.....

I'm still confused about the part where he says he lives in Dublin and yet has been sending his kids to Pleasanton schools for two decades.
