I am so proud of our local military personnel... sacrificing their time, and sometimes careers, and very health and lives for our freedom. The same goes for the families and organizations like Pleasanton Military Families Support Group (PMFSG) who support them all.
I hope to see more media coverage of the many homecomings that are being celebrated on a very regular basis. These people need to know their communities support them... as I do.

Now let me see, how many American's have died in Iraq?
How does anybody support the soldiers that came home dead stuffed in pine boxes? Are their wives, children, parents and friends being considered during this time of giving?

I honor ALL of them just like the TENS of THOUSANDS+ who paid the ultimate price in previous wars.
I also believe those pine boxes need to be in the media...as a somber reminder of that ultimate price. I've seen some of these pictures...I pray for those families and those still out there.
I have a son who has served in Iraq, is heading for Afghanistan in the spring, and another son who will go into boot camp in the summer then into the infantry. My pride is huge as well as my fear. The fear comes as a mother, as well as the pride that they have made these decisions from a sense of pride in their country.
I too want this all to end peacefully, but not at the risk of more attacks against us.

Thousands and thousands of INNOCENT citizens of Iraq are DEAD.
Thousands of American soldiers are DEAD.
Pam, if you want to defend the USA, go to Iraq and start a fight. I doubt that you've ever fought in a war. If you haven't, PLEASE keep your BIG MOUTH shut! As for honoring dead soldiers in pine caskets, get lost you creep. Don't you think you're a bit late?
Your friend...Cholo!

PW, when are you going to get rid of this offensive poster? All he or she does is wreck havoc on your forums with comments intended to anger people or hurt them deeply. Why not require everyone to register in order to post? I usually just lurk and read to keep up on what's going on in town, but for goodness sakes this person is getting out of hand.
Pam, I am grateful to families like yours who are willing to sacrifice greatly for the protection and freedom of my family. I have grown sons too, and I can only imagine how it would have felt to have them far away fighting in a war. We worry enough about our kids even when they are nearby! God bless you!

granny...unless you've been under hostile fire, you know NOTHING about war. The Iraq war is not about sacrificing for the protection of freedom. The Iraq war is all about oil and who controls it.
If you want to help protect the freedom of your fellow American's, go to Iraq and help protect us. It one thing to mouth off and pretend to be a patriot and quite another matter to live under daily hostile fire.
Incidentally granny, if you're fearful of losing your freedom, don't ever check into a hospital.

cholo- sometimes your comments are thought provoking, other times they are just rude and crude and out of place. you need to know when to quit or people miss your really good comments.

I am disturbed about persons who are so completely indoctrinated by lies such as the war is about oil; while oil is part of someone interests; those who have evaluated the history of Iraq understand that Sadam was a committed dictator who killed thousands of innocent individuals and would have continued to use his assets in a similar way as does Iran and other oil rich countries to extend their Islamic hegemeny over the intire world. It is fools like Cholo who drink the liberal and anti-American propoganda that are the real enemies. It is the enemy from within who abuses the freedom of speech with lies and half truths to extend their supidity and insanity.

If anybody wants to order a pine box, I charge $49.93. My pine boxes measure 3" x 2.5".
People that don't understand the horrors of war romanticize dying for "freedom". If you're so eager to fight a war, sign up and help with the war effort. Don't just sit at home in front of your TV's and all your comforts. You can take a bullet just as well as a young American soldier. Try it, you might like it!
Cholo...I assure that I am NOT a liberal! hahahahahahahah...

Thanks ....everyone, for the kind words for those who serve... my sons, my father, and everyone who supports those who serve regardless of political opinions.
