Pet Law at downtown Restaurants
Original post made by Rick, Another Pleasanton neighborhood, on Jun 25, 2013
Does anyone have information on the law banning pets from the sidewalk restaurants on Main street? I understand there is a law that says you cannot have a pet with you while dining at a restaurant's sidewalk tables.
I think it is a good idea to ban pets from these spots, but I am starting to see it happen more and more. I have witnessed people with dogs lying next to them at a table, while other dogs and people and LITTLE KIDS are walking past and has triggered one of the dogs to snap and bark at the animal passing by. I know of one restaurant worker that was bitten by a dog laying under the table as it was probably startled when she walked up to it.
I love dogs….and I know we have a lot of animal lovers in town, but if we do not have a law banning them from these tables, then I for one will want to lobby for such a law.
Good news for downtown Livermore and the performing arts
