If you think of the new Physical Activity Education (PE, Gym) Guidelines as the newest Best Practices, NOT the old PE, we would call it Wellness Education, WE, the New PE. It's not just 30 minutes of sweat, today, but Activity for Life, a physically active lifestyle with better health. So, support the retention of PE programs and revision to meet new, rigorous standards of education. These new standards are also why it literally does not make sense to "opt out" of the New PE. Our students must become Physically EDUCATED adults, not just athletically active students.
