Fire caused significant damage to a $2-million home at 8044 Golden Eagle Way Saturday night, gutting part of the attic and kitchen and a backyard deck.

The Livermore-Pleasanton Firefighters know how to fight fires. They try to do their best. They train almost every day at the drill tower or somewhere within their own district. Many people do not know this is an award-winning department. The cities won the prestigious Helen Putnam Award when the departments were merged. Be proud of your fire department----I sure am.
