Karla Brown and Jerry Pentin won election to Pleasanton City Council handily, with Brown garnering 8,919 votes -- about 37% -- and Pentin winning with 7,577 votes -- about 31.5% as of late Tuesday night. Erlene Demarcus received 4,436 votes, nearly 18.5%, while Mike Harris, who dropped out of the race in September, pulled in nearly 13%, receiving 3,522 votes.

PW, you are leaving out some important facts. Not only did Erlene DeMarcus accept campaign contributions from a developer (developers?), she is a PAID CONSULTANT for the Lin family, the Hong Kong land barons that are a perpetual pain-in-the-a** for Pleasanton. Thank goodness we won't have this developer's shill on the Council and we won't have the union's shill Cook-Kallio as Mayor. Unfortunately, we still have Cook-Kallio on the Council.
