My main takeaway from the debate was that Romney really is weak on foreign policy and knowledge about the military.He memorized the basic talking points but it is obvious he has no real expertise.If he wins he will no doubt outsource foreign policy to the neocons.To me,Romney is Bush#2 with an economic slant.I wish he was more Bush#1 who actually knew how the world works.
Obama came across as a far superior candidate in this debate,although he continues to throw in too many political gotchas.It must be difficult to debate someone like Romney who changes his positions and denies things he has clearly said like about the auto bailout.
I wonder what type of candidate Romney would be if he was simply himself,but the fact that he has changed his positions and denied what he has clearly stated so often maybe tells you who he really is.He just comes across to me as a rich guy who wants to be president and will say or do anything to get there.
Obama,like him or not,at least has a consistent point of view and a core.

I agree, he's weak on foreign policy. He sounded like the Cold War is still around. Russia our “number one geopolitical foe". Russia has its challenges but the biggest concern is China.
All politicians stretch the truth, including Obama. But Romney is unbelievable. He will say anything to get elected, including contradictory statements. One thing I did realize last year is that the Republican-control congress worked OT to put stops on nearly everything the President offered.
As an independent, I have decided to vote for Obama.

What's with Romney sweating? Is he that unsure of himself? What will happen when he meets with Putin? Seriously. He's not confident.
I agree with independent voter, he says what ever it takes to get elected.

The president said it right. His first job is to protect the American people. He has done a good job doing this. Romney's first debate bullying tactic was met with reason and intellect in the second and third debates, and by the third debate the bully was wilting before our eyes (that's what the sweat was about). I don't want Romney anywhere near a position that involves protecting my family. Successful businessman/investor? Probably. Presidential material? I don't think so. This independent will again cast his vote for Barack Obama.

We have fewer horses and bayonets than we did in 1916, and fewer Navy ships too, and that is a good thing, as our President says! Romney would buy 2 trillion bayonets, and use the leftover to buy horses, because his wife really likes horses. He is all over the map with his Romnesia, and he is a felon too, I heard! Tax returns! Bain Capital!

i am 91 years old. i've never seen a candidate lie a much as romeny. he's worse than nixon. how can you trust him? who knows what he wants to do? i'm glad obama took him to school for this debate.

I am so happy to see that Pleasanton does have some democrats. Thank you so much for sticking up for our President!. Yes, Obama is is very knowledgable and Romney can only repeat his same mantra.....more jobs and less taxes......with no way to get there.

Thank God Obama is such a scholar on foreign policy. He has masterfully allowed the radical muslim brotherhood to take over the middle east, allowed Iran another 4 years to work on their "peaceful" nuclear program, strained our relationship with Isreal, promised Putin "more flexibility" when it comes to weakening missile defense and our nuclear arsenal once he is re-elected and he only managed to get 1 ambassador and 3 other Americans killed in Libya. With the ringing endrosements of world leaders such as Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, Ahmadinejad and Putin, how can we go wrong with another 4 years? Vote Obama!!!!

The Presidents first job is to protect the Constitution. Remember the oath!? Safety is the responsibility of another branch.
The last four years really has moved us backwards. The evidence is so many failed and unfulfilled promises/policies. But, don't let the facts/truth confuse you. Vote him in again and see how really bad it can get. Most of us conservatives will survive the next four years. Will you? Liberals, my nature, don't think much further than tomorrow. Supporting social justice programs and environmental policies sounds good until we have to pay for them later. They should not be the #1 priority. Prioritize and come to consensus about how to resolve the issues in order of the most important. The bi-partisan additiude is causing us gridlock. This POTUS has done more to devide us as a nation than any other entity today. Even an act of war at one of our embassies can't bring us together. Think about it!
Okay, Mr. Mittens, we haven't heard from you. What are your pearls of wisdom!?

Health insurance premiums have increased, gas has gone through the roof, the number of Americans living in poverty is exponentially increasing and the national debt has increased by a whopping five trillion dollars. This Obama administration is bringing our great country to its knees.

Yes, and with these over the top criticisms of Obama, it's a wonder that all Romney was able to do in the Foreign Policy debate is repeat endlessly that he agreed with Obama, that Obama has done a very good job, and that Romney, in the fictional world where he becomes president, will do things virtually identically to Obama. Quite a candidate you guys have who somehow isn't able to arrive at the same over the top criticisms that you do. Can anybody take a hint?
