Ricky Gill Caught Inflating His Experience
State, National, International, posted by Independent, a resident of Livermore, on Sep 22, 2012 at 5:59 am

Ricky Gill, a 25-year-old college student who is intent on his VERY first job being in Congress, has time and again exaggerated his limited work experience in an effort to fool the voters he seeks to represent.

In truth, local newspapers have reported that he's never held a full-time job, is looking for work, and has lied about the extent of his experiences as an unpaid student intern.

He claims to have worked as a consultant for a year at a Bay Area charter school. Truth? He was an unpaid intern.

He claims to have evaluated draft prospects for the Sacramento Kings. Truth? He was an unpaid intern.

He claims to have been a member of the State Board of Education. Truth? He was a student, honorary appointee... a spot he earned after his daddy donated thousands to then-Governor Schwarzenegger.

I get it. Ambition is a wonderful thing. I just don't want to be represented by a kid who's never worked a day in his life, is living at home with his parents, and has no idea about the struggles real people without millions at their disposal are facing.

Even though Jerry won't be representing Pleasanton any longer - a true loss - I am proudly supporting his re-election.

Well, well, independent, you are not very!...maybe you're misnamed. Interesting YOU would use the word lied, since he is not a student, but in fact, has his CAL LAW DEGREE ! ! I'll just say you made a MIS-statement, maybe through ignorance or political partisanship.

Sad, your political pettiness ridicules internships, from which great people and great ideas are developed.

Ricky GILL is the son of immigrant parents (Indian) who are both physicians !! They also own 1,000-acre cherry farm and vineyard, an RV park, and other business interests. Gill has gained valuable experience, practicing his legal knowledge in managing his parents business & legal interests. So much so, that Gill has been ENDORSED by the California Farm Bureau Federation !!

I would guess McNerney is afraid.

I have met Ricky 3 times, and was very impressed with his knowledge, character, eagerness, varied experiences, poise, well over 6 ft carriage, and demeaner more suited to a man twice his age...in any group.

In all, I would guess that is why McNerney is not bothering to move into the district.

"Independent" resides in Livermore and doesn't want to be represented by Ricky Gill. That's just fine. You're not in his district anyway. Perhaps you should ask McNerney to reconsider his "move" to Stockton and run in Pleasanton, where he really lives.

Are the Gills family farmers of filthy rich doctors looking to invest their money?

I think the latter.
