What was going on at Tassajara/Freeway last night?
Around Town, posted by oldtimer, a resident of the Another Pleasanton neighborhood neighborhood, on Aug 11, 2012 at 9:23 am

About 8:30PM Friday 8/10 we exited 580 at Santa Rita/Tassajara. The parking area for the office buildings on the northwest corner of the intersection were filled with cars, people and many police cars. Anyone know what was happening?

IF they arrived from Tracy, they could not have parked at the BART Station.

Not only did the BARTD budget and take the money to build the system to the Livermore station, not build it, and use it for something else, but they claimed Pleasanton did not need "end of the line" parking.

Why? Because it was not the end of the line! Thats one reason for the scarcity that prevents us from using the BARD, even it we wanted to.

Then BARTD sold most of the "East" Dublin ground level parking lot to builders, to be more apartments. ( The parking lots we are now using have already been sold!)

Somehow they claim more apartments will reduce the need the current users have for parking - while ignoring the fact that more people just means fewer seats, and that the apartment people need parking also.
