I was afraid they were getting close to me with smart meters, which I don't want.
I just located the trucks and talked with th guys. They were almost doubling the volts or something like that...a good thing.
They will charge me $10. monthly to read my meter, which I would happily pay to keep my right to control MY own bodily temperature. But the $75."SET-UP" fee they want to charge me (a senior citizen) to keep my dusty 30 yr old elec meter & cobweb is purely for gouging and unjustified. I would like to sue both PG&E & PUC for punitive damages!

Glad we were out of town - family member with medical issues in 100*+ temps and no A/C = trip to ER. Why PG&E would choose to do this work in the August let alone summer in Tri-Valley shows total lack of common sense!!!

What were you expecting?
During the 4 or 5 day outages during a heat wave they kept replacing a fuse in a vault that served our whole subdivision (Near Mohr and Santa Rita) with larger ones, then installed a piece of copper pipe instead.
Does anyone know if this upgrade will fixed the problem?
