Before you attack this lawsuit as being against the military you should do a least a little bit of research. You will quickly find that the suit is trying to restore all voters ability to vote an absentee ballot early in person during the few days before the election. The Republican controlled Legislature took away the early voting on the Friday and Monday before the election for everyone except the military. This is consistent with the Democratic party's support for all citizen's right to vote and to make it as easy as possible to vote. If the election office is open and accepting ballots why should it not take everyone's ballot?

The Friday and Monday are too close to count !I think normally military have to get them in before that.
Late for others is fine with me, since absentees usually aren't counted anyway.
I don't believe in scrapping the streets for voters. I'd opt for informed voters who respect the process, and integrity in citizen voting.
Right now I am so disgusted with the intentional outright repeated lies, many exagerations, but more outright lies, by stupid parrots, knowingly parroting outright lies that were told to say. Obama has lost all dignity and integrity by having his horde of administration mouthpieces campaigning with lies 24 hours a day, rather than focusing on doing their jobs to make things better. I have never seen such a degree of blatent political lies from inside a White House. Fulltime is one thing, but the lying cannot even euphemistically be called spinning or politics...it is DESPERATE cheap lying. The 'creations' they start are evil and dirty.

I want to give my heartfelt thanks to the courageous Republican governors in this great country who are willing to deny old people, people of color, and young people the right to vote. For, as we know, most of these old people are as good as dead anyway; people of color are usually illegal or belong to a deficient culture; and young people have never held a responsible job.
Mitt -- Show me the money! I want it! A genuine patriot who is just like you and me.

Breitbart? Not this crap again.
Distortion, thy name is Breitbart.
More projection by the GOP. Read all about Florida suing the feds for the right to purge likely Democratic voters. Now that's really interesting. Web Link
One of the people they've purged so far is a military vet who has voted his whole life. How would you feel having to fight for your voting rights this close to a major, important election? That's exactly why Rick Scott is doing it. Anything to lose Democratic votes in a swing state.

Nice to hear from Pleasanton's own "Saul Alinksy" graduate -- aka Janna. According to the Saul Alinsky bible "Rules for Radicals" it is very important to "trash information sources" rather than deal specifically with the info content. Nice going Janna Alinsky.
Fortunately many people are finally realizing that ideologies like yours amounts to "Statism" (i.e. somewhere along the range of socialism, marxism and communism) which all lead to despotism, misery, and in some cases genocide.

Mittens, by all means, it's way too much to require people to identify themselves when they perform their civic duty. How do these people cash checks, drive a car, conduct any personal business?
Hell, even illegals are getting ID cards in some urban locations. Maybe the clan of old, non white people you hang with are not smart enough to have some form of identification, but most responsible adults do. If voting is important to them, they will make the effort to identify themselves.

...anyone else concerned about the idea of a State having access to use information from Homeland Security in a manner it wasn't designed for - even if "this time" it makes sense???? It may be to look for non-citizen voting rolls this year, what will it be next???

I've voted for myself in the past whenever I've run for public office. However, I doubt that I'll vote for me this time around. How, for gosh sakes, can I expect to vote for myself when I won't even disclose my tax returns? I mean, heck, lying about one's opponent is one thing, and lord knows, despite my inability to gain traction with the American people, that I've lied my head off about my opponent who, by the way, is in over his head. But to not pay any taxes over a ten-year period? Well, jeeeesh, that's downright unpatriotic. No wonder why so many of my Republican brethren are talking about Ron Paul as a replacement candidate. I'd vote for Paul too!

Are you really that dense? When I asked for sources, that doesn't mean you listing a bunch of media corporations and then posting another link to a right wing garbage site. Link to the same info Breitbart has, please.
Your precious Breitbart doctored all those videos of ACORN (and everything else he tried to discredit), or weren't you aware of that? That guy was filled with nothing but hate and it eventually took his life. Have you seen this video? Your hero was mental.

Please don't question Janna's authority in these matters. She's convinced the MSM is impartial and that Fox News is flying black helicopters over her house. That's why she needs her med.....the pitch from those rotor blades is driving her nuts.

The so-called mainstream media is predominantly right wing. They are large corporations, for the most part, and reflect corporate interests. Their CEO's are largely right wing, and many during the past election cycle were quite outspoken about being opposed to Obama. Where was the media opposition to Desert Storm? Where was the media opposition to Invasion of Iraq? Where was the media opposition when Bush began domestic, warrantless wiretapping, and in the case of the NYTimes, knew this for a full year before it eventually oozed out to the public?
Why do we not hear of the dozens of protests waged against Walmart on almost a daily basis? Why, unlike Canada, is there no Labor section in American newspapers to counterbalance the Business section and Sports (corporate advertising) section? Why do we not hear of numerous corporate safety and health violations and the paltry kinds of fines levelled against them? Why do we not hear of numerous labor strikes across the nation -- many ongoing and over several weeks/months/even years?
Why do we hear all sorts of ballyhoo about public worker salaries and pensions when there are far more important issues, ranging from global warming, pollution, gross disparity in wealth, an ongoing social class division that keeps most Americans preoccupied with basic survival?
Why? Because the corporate-owned and operated media's role is to perpetuate the status quo, which means protecting big business from democratic challenges from the people.

Dear 'So it is',
By golly, I usually don't lose my temper, but your post really got my dander up. I don't think it is fair to criticize the American media like you do. Some of my very best friends are owners of media corporations, and I resent how you castigate them so. I've gotten to know them very well because we have the same tax lawyers, accountants, and we sit of the same boards of directors of American hero job hiring corporations.
We all know of course that just because we own the corporate media, and control who the media hire and fire, we tend to allow them to be left-wing because, gosh, they're just so persuasive. When we insist they select and write stories that are in our corporate interests, they threaten to fire US! That's how powerful the liberal media has become. I can assure you, therefore, that even though my cronies may OWN and CONTROL the media, this is no guarantee that the media isn't left-wing. This is largely attributed to Obama and union spies who infiltrate our ranks with filthy propaganda.
Mitt -- He'll lie as much as it takes against the other guy; just don't ask him to show his tax returns, because he's looking out for Numero Uno, which is the American way.

So it is is SO off base ! There are 20 leftist networks, but only one right of center network, which is fair in' news', less so politically. All the rest are extreme leftist, blatent and entire lineup, yet they hypocritically try to fake that they're objective....an insult to any intelligent viewers. Last few years I thought CNN was truly fair and center. But in recent weeks they've been adding more leftist flame-throwing hosts. If you're including sheer numbers of podunk little radio stations spread over several farms, that's not quite the same as numbers of leftists now on satellite.
The AP is, and always has been leftist, and since most papers have had to cut reporters, the AP is used everywhere.
SO, you are one of the regular union posters, blinded, unable to do basic math. Move to canada if you like socialism and want a 'labor' section in the newspaper. Obviously you don't care about America, if you want unions to break every city, county, and state.
You say you want More coverage of WalMart picketers ! you can't be serious...but, so sadly, I know you are serious. scary, truly scary. You are upset with corp ADVERTISING !?!?! There would be NO newspapers without it...THEY PAY THE BILLS ! Wake up. The rest of the world moves daily toward the American idea of personal freedom of individuals, not chained to a union boss that does not allow workers freedom to even think for themselves, and makes them forfeit their America right to a secret vote in union OR out for public candidates. As cities and our own formerly golden state are collapsing with more frequency, you dare to say that is not the most important domestic issue we have...when everything else is controlled by crumbs leftover from public union issues.
I do agree the tragic disparity of private workers having no retirement except for what they can provide themselves, compared to the fat retirements of PUBLIC workers, who don't have to give retirement a thought since they live off those private workers. I guess you just don't appreciate to right of individuals to work to move themselves up. You would rather have everybody equally POOR regardless of what they do. If I don't have a chance, why bother working at all....let the other guy do it, until we all fall out of existence. Brilliant !

It's really a shame... with all the diatribes that you cannot think a tad bit clearer. If President Obama was all that you claim he is, then why are we not part of the Soviet Union, Nazi groups, Muslim extremists, philanders, socialists, yada yada. Maybe, just maybe, YOU have the problem.
God bless the United States and protect us from the Extremists that post to this site.

Backwards, did the messiah not tell the Russian to wait until his reelection so he'd have a mandate to complete his destruction of our country? What did you think of that video and his comments? You really don't think he could totally destroy this country in just 4 years....even he is not that 'good'.

You have to like 'No Objectivity's' reasoning. His argument boils down to the following: the FOX network says only THEY are objective and so it follows, OF COURSE!, that all other media to the left of fascism must be liberal and lamestream.
After all, mass media are corporate owned -- with increasingly more and more newspapers, tv stations and radio stations being under the ownership of a handful of corporations. Of COURSE this would lead 'No Objectivity' to conclude that the media is left wing. Because, obviously, corporations are left wing, right? I mean, left?
And, too, mass media rely heavily on corporate advertisers who exert their influence upon what stories are selected and how stories are reported. So, again, there's you left wing corporate media again, right? I mean, left?
Finally, for heavens sake, just look at all the people who voted for the black guy in office -- the one who's in so far over his head it isn't even funny. If that doesn't tell you something about the left wing media, I don't know what does.
Perhaps if reporters, editors and commentators were a little bit LESS educated and LESS ELITIST they'd be more objective. Why for Pete's sake should a newspaper editor or newspaper columnist have an advanced degree? Most of the folks who work for FOX don't! This might be filed under: Democratize the left wing media by dumbing down across the board. How much in taxpayer money goes toward subsidizing public universities where these liberal loon media types come from?
Mitt -- Contrary to prevailing rumors, he'll NOT be handing over the Republican baton to Ron Paul. There is nothing to the rumor whatsoever.
Mitt -- Show us the evidence, Harry! How else for gosh sakes would we KNOW whether Mitt did or didn't pay taxes?
