Sign Design Review...more a planning commission and zoning administrators creative piece of art. Why are the signs...only in English? From what I understand...all used signs are located there until a better home is available...upon request. Touriga and Palomino may be receiving a few soon. Buying signs in bulk...assists our future bottomline. Reminds me of the plane graveyard...in Mojave. Thanks John! BTW...the deadend signs are for the future bullet train.

No wonder the State of California is broke!

Thanks city council and zoning commission (do they ever get in their cars and travel the roads? no probably not)

Do this, don't do that, can't you read the sign?

How in the world did our forefathers ever settle the United States without the benefit of signs?

At least you don't see Fremont City's habit of placing "No Stopping at Anytime" signs attached to "Stop" signs.

The one location upon which you make your point seems to be unique. Any other locations in Pleasanton you care to video that are comparable? This area is one of the last most recently developed areas in Pleasanton where we had a council (some still sitting) that were enthralled with round-abouts. That plays a lot into the many signs seen in the video. Another is the pedistrian and bike friendly design of the neighborhood.

The way I see it, if you live there you want all this stuff. If you don't live there, you mock it.

This signage is ridiculous and any mocking is deserved. The signs are present tribute to a bad set of guidelines on how best to alert motorists.

If the roundabouts act as natural safety or speed governors, excellent. All benefit from safety. And signs have their place in alerting the motorist.

But this is most clearly overkill. franco is the ONLY person I have heard speak positively of what is, to the rest of us, an obviously excessive placement of signs. Pleasanton would do itself a service to cull some of these signs. The region will be just as safe and Pleasanton can remove this glaring embarrassment and monument to bad planning and rules.

Pass on the link to friends :) Be proud of your city's ridiculousness and tell someone that there's someone who actually liked the signs!

With a sign every 20 feet in Pleasanton per this video and a bench on the scenic Stanley Blvd every 20 to 50 feet, this goes a long way to explaining why MTC and Alameda County want to tax drivers 10 cents for every mile us common folks drive and have a perpetual 'transportation tax' Measure B. Say no to each and every parcel tax.

I just heard the Oakland Zoo has re-spun itself as a 'regional educational center' and wants a parcel tax not for Oakland residents but for all Alameda County residents, including Pleasanton too so that it can rake several hundred million through a perpetual 'zoo tax.'
