What is scandalous is that this makes every other state department and agency look bad. How dare this department save money for a rainy day when every other department is in a mode of spend to the the last penny of the taxpayers' money. If every department and agency took this approach we wouldn't be needing all these calls for tax increases.
Ruth Coleman just made governor moonbeam look bad. And now has paid the price for not being a true democrat.
Want to bet that the 54 million dollars ends up in Charlotte NC to buy swag for the Democratic National Convention attendees. After all this money should have already been spent. I am sure the CA contingent will see that it is gone in no time. Money...what money?

I think Assemblyman Huffman, Senator Evans, and the CA Parks Foundation owe the OHV community a big apology for being sponsors of the bogus State Parks Initiative which based its gutting of the OHV program on a false premise that there was a funding shortage at Parks.

I wouldn't say this never happens in the private sector. But when it does there is usually jail time involved. Unfortunately the laws don't apply to public sector employees.
