Just wondering why there isn't anything said about Pleasanton's Celina Li who is at this week's Olympic Swimming trials. What a talented swimmer! Today she qualified for the semi finals in the IM. It is such an honor to just be there! She is making Foothill and the Pleasanton community very proud.
Suppose if this were a baseball or football player, there might be more coverage. Just sayin....

We were just talking last night while we were watching the time trials why we had not seen any coverage on our local swimmers. I think we have two in the time trials. One from Foothill, Celina and one from Amador or was an Amador grad. I can't remember the name. Exciting to watch all this go down. We need more info put out to show our local talents.

Last March Jerry Thorne introduced and read City Resolutions for five Pleasanton Seahawk swimmers who are attending the Olympic Trials (four in US trials and one in Canadian trials). They are Catherine Breed, Allison Brown, Tory Houston, Celina Li and Nick

Speaking of accomplishments by other local athletes, Jue's Taekwon-Do (near Raley's on Sunol) has many team members who have placed very high in during the National ITF Taekwon-Do Championships (Houston, Feb 2012). Even more impressive, these team members have qualified to be on the U.S. ITF Taekwon-Do Team and will compete in the World Championships this coming August in Ottawa, Canada.
