I see that the Fair this summer is working with Sleep Train to collect needed clothes for Foster Children. On Friday, June 22, you can bring a new kid's clothing item to the Fair and receive a $5 Fair admission. Great partnership, way to go! :)

The last I saw, while employeed by the County, was that each Foster chid received over $800.00 per month income paid to the foster parent. That is hundreds more than 1 child receives on AFDC. Please check your facts. People want to be kind out of the goodness within, but do not always know where their contributions are going. People need to know the facts first. Just like with The Tri Valley Community Fund fraud mishap. Unfortunately, this keeps happening over and over again. This truly disheartens me. When will people learn?! Pay attention and learn truth from fiction. Spend and give wisely; especially where it is truly needed.
