Proving once again he has no interest in being a "moderate" Democrat, Jerry McNerney has again voted in opposition to supporting our troops in harm's way. He's making a habit of this.
Here's the update just in from the NRCC:
Washington– Rep. Jerry McNerney (CA-11) voted last night against fully funding our troops who continue to fight in Iraq and Afghanistan (House Roll Call 431).
"Jerry McNerney has failed to support our men and women who are serving on the front lines providing for our national security," said NRCC spokesman Ken Spain. "There is no excuse for Jerry McNerney’s unconscionable vote against this critical funding for our troops. His complete disregard for safety of our troops is disgraceful."
By voting against this troop funding bill, Jerry McNerney also opposed funding for:
Military, Reserve and National Guard personnel
Weapons and Ammunition
Combat vehicles, including armored vehicles for force protection purposes
Aircraft
Defense Health Program, specifically for psychological health and traumatic brain injury
Counterterrorist operations
Jerry McNerney’s incomprehensible decision to vote against our troops speaks to the core of his priorities in Congress to deflect his duties to provide for our national security at every turn. McNerney’s constituents in California deserve an explanation for his blatant disregard to fund American men and women in uniform.

Patriotic Republicans send our children off to wars so as to give them the opportunity to become heroes for America. Then namby-pamby types like McNerney want to skwuander our tax money on those who return from war mamed and injured. What a wuss! I want my tax money spent on bombs not wounded or unsalvagable vets.

Nauseous, get a life. He is out there trying to do some good. Want Pombo? He never visited the Tri-Valley. McNerney was out there talking to people. I did not agree with him but I respected his out reach to us.

Like McNerney "reached out" to his constituency by his "Congress at your corner" meetings in places that each had a capacity for about 5 people? Or his canned telephone meetings that had his staff and other lapdogs ask softball questions? And his "multiple town meetings" on Obamacare (not!) where he slammed this socialist healthcare program down our throats.
Yeah...he really "reached out" to us (not). He voted 99% consistent with socialist Pelosi...so he didn't and doesn't care one iota what we think as long as it is along the same lines as his socialist agenda.

All very well and good and easy to portray our-then Congressman as an enemy of the military men and women, isn't it?? However, if you (or me or any reader) performs a smidgeon of research on the readily-accessible internet, you will find that MANY Republican representatives ALSO voted Nay on House Roll Call 431 BECAUSE OF ITS RIDERS, among other things, specifying a set and somewhat unreasonable date for withdrawal of the troops. McNerney DID vote Aye on H.R.432, along with the necessary majority to pass the bill, a similar measure without those restrictions, a measure which DID provide the same support and improvements for the military and veterans. Do your research, please, and stop trying to mislead folks and sully a good man's name. What public service have you performed, aside from posting rubbish?

A "Good Man" ??? !!!
Maybe to his immediate family...and his union thugs, along with his Socialist Democrat Leaders like Pelosi, Reid, and of course the biggest Socialist leader...Obama.
Voting 99% with the worst House Leader in history...Nancy Pelosi says it all.
Well, I take that back.
It doesn't say it all.
He continually votes AGAINST America's economic recovery too. He votes AGAINST America's energy independence on oil. (He wants America to be powered by "kudzu" and "algae" (nevermind that this energy hasn't been developed yet...and probably never will).
He also votes AGAINST the private sector recovering.
He is a BIG GOVERNMENT STATIST who wants to grow government at the expense of the private sector and our freedoms.
