My Blogtalkradio show is back Wednesday morning, May 23rd, at 11:30 am with [Web Link an interview with Eric Swalwell]. Swalwell is running against long-time Democrat Representative Pete Stark in the newly redistricted 15th District. Here's my teaser for the show:

"Dublin City Councilman, Eric Swalwell, is running against 20-term Congressman, Fortney Pete Stark, in the newly redistricted 15th District.

Can the ant topple the hippo? We shall ask Swalwell what his chances are against Stark and about some of the accusations against him in the Around Dublin blog.

Is this just a grandstand attempt at name recognition, or does Swalwell have a chance to thwart Stark's reelection in the June 5th primary and make it into a 2-man race in November.

Tune in and find out."

The interview will be recorded for listening to later. I plan to interview Stark's other opponent, Chris Pareja, at 11:30 am on May 30th.

I have been reading the fliers you sent me in the mail. How would you say you and Stark differ on the issues, rather than just in personal attributes?

Paroan,

I asked your question of Mr. Swalwell at the start of the interview. You can listen to his answer and the rest of the interview at

Web Link

There's distracting hum in the background of Mr. Swalwell's answers, but he spoke clearly and is otherwise easy to understand.

I shall interview Stark's other opponent, Chris Pareja, next Wednesday morning. Web Link

Thank you for your question and your interest in this election.

Thanks Roz. BTW, you mention that this a newly created district. Livermore was part of the district in 1973.

Stark is using scare tactics with the senior citizens. He is disgusting.

Regarding arounddublin. He has an agenda with the City council. I do not take him serious. He's good for restaurants closing, and that sort of thing.

Someone who cares,

Congressional Districts are reconfigured every 10 years based on the current census. So that's probably why Livermore was in the District in 1973.

Also the numbers are confusing since those move around too. Stark's District was #13 and is now #15, but about half of #13 is part of #15. San Ramon was in District #11, but now we are in #15. So trying to compare old numbers with new numbers doesn't work either.
